George Thomas “Tommy” Coleman, age 78 of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home. Mr. Coleman was born on May 19, 1939 in Harvest, AL to George and Hallie Coleman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Daryl Coleman.
Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife Mamie Coleman; daughter, Renee Sampson (Daniel); sons, Brian Coleman, Kevin Coleman (Rachel) and Jeff Coleman (Marcheita); brother-in-law, Glenn Ramsey; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Services for Mr. Coleman will be 2:00PM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Luther Duggar and Bobby Marks officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 prior to the service. Burial will be in Lentzville Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Trey Sampson, Trenton Sampson, Andrew Holtbrook, Doug McLemore, Paul Ramsey and Johnny Coleman. Honorary pallbearers are Marshall Norman, Glenn Ramsey and David Collier.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice.
