George Sanders Ogea George Sanders Ogea passed away Thursday June 3, 2021, peacefully at his home in Pulaski, TN surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 15, 1948 in Jackson, Alabama and was 72 years old.

George was a graduate of Bossier High in Bossier City. He served in the US Army from 1969 until 1973. He ran a prison ministry in Clifton, Tn. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church -Pulaski where he was a long time Sunday school teacher. George coached softball and baseball for many years where is was later inducted into the local little league hall of fame. He worked at American Magotteaux for 43 years where he retired in 2018. He loved his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and spending time with them.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
Burial will follow at Giles Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church, 408 South First Street, Pulaski, Tennessee 38478.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Jeanette Tomerlin Ogea along with his parents Wallace Wilford and Lula Margaret Perkins Ogea, brother, Wallace Lee Ogea, and sister Regina Ogea-Guillory.
He is survived by his Daughter, Lynette (Bob) Augestad of Georgia
Son, Philip Ray (Kelly) Vernon of Louisanna. Daughter, Tammy (Barry) Holt of Pulaski, Tennessee.
Grandchildren, Trey Birdsong of TN. Kathryn (Sam) Chambers of GA. Mary Beth Patellis of GA. Kristi Lin (Amardeep) Samra of England. Georgialee Vernon of LA. Trenton Baumeister of OR. Allyssa Baumeister of TX. Amelia (Justin) Owens of VA., twins, Joshua Vernon and Matthew Vernon of LA, and Nathan, Stephen (Catherine), and David Augestad of GA.
Great-grandchild, Tate, Aiden, Collin, Blake, Ellie, Case, Sherie, and Sophia.

Brothers, Arthur (Donna) Ogea and Richard Ogea both of LA
Sister, Ella Grace Johnson of LA
Sister and brother -in-laws, Nancy (James) Teeples, Joyce Gunter, Carolyn Shelton all of Pulaski, and Sonny (Frankie) Tomerlin of North Carolina. Debra Tosh of Pulaski, TN. Mike (Brenda) Tomerlin of Pulaski, TN. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements for George Sanders Ogea.
