George Robert Surles age 50, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Nashville, TN. Funeral services for Mr. Surles will be conducted at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Cypress United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Crossnoe officiating. A visitation for the Surles family will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Cypress United Methodist Church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. He was born on March 2, 1970 in Jackson, TN and worked as an Assistant Manager for many years. Mr. Surles is survived by his parents: Huie Otto Surles and Ina Mae Edwards Surles of Bells, TN; one sister: Tina Surles of Bells, TN; Aunt Rose Edwards McKinnon of Bells, TN; His Cousin: John R. McKinnon of Bells, TN; And his beloved friends: James Renaud Jr. and Tony Woods both of Antioch, TN, June Krystyan and her sons, Christopher J. Renaud and Michael D. Krystyan all of Beechgrove, TN. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Bobby Surles and Doris Norvell Surles; maternal grandparents: George “GT” Thomas Edwards and Mae Edna Crossnoe Edwards; uncles: Don Frank Edwards, James Surles, Roy Surles, Lonnie Surles; aunts: Ellie Surles and JoAnn Edwards; and his good friend: Sam Poynter.
