George Robert “Smooth” Clifft, age 78, of Summertown, TN passed away Monday, May 09, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of Chapel Grove Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willy Edgar and Lucinda Jane Voss Clifft; one brother, Richard Clifft; and six sisters, Mattie Welch, Josephine Favors, Hugh Alice Davis, Helen Staggs, Ola Barnett, and Felicia Riley.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2016, with Jeff Smith and Ed Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
