George Richard Sidloskas, 92, passed away July 8, 2023. He was born to George and Pauline Sidloskas in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He had five older sisters who all preceded him in death. He married the love of his life, Patricia Collins, in 1951. Pat preceded him in death in 2010. His two sons, Richard and Gerald Sidloskas also preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Lori and George Tierce and two grandsons.
After high school, George served two years in the Army during the Korean War and worked in the aluminum extrusion industry until retiring from Werner Aluminum in 1993. He then worked at Lowe’s and Dillard’s where he made many friends. He was active in his church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
George’s family would like to thank the many folks at Autumn Cove along with the doctors and nurses at RMC and the VA who took such great care of him in the past few years of his life.
His funeral will be at Sacred Heart Church, 1301 Golden Springs Road, Anniston, on Thursday July 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
