George Parker Dudley, age 85 of Estill Springs, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Life Care Center of Tullahoma. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Decherd on August 30, 1938, to the late Arlie and Allie (Powers) Dudley. Before his retirement, he was a nurseryman, having been employed at S & W Nursery and Shadow Nursery. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching baseball and football, cheering for the Tennessee Volunteers, Dallas Cowboys, and Atlanta Braves, as well as dirt track racing. He was always on the go, and rarely without his Sun-Drop and Redman Chew. George loved his animals, but most of all he cherished the time spent with this beloved family, especially his nieces and nephews. His family and friends will miss his kind and happy nature. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe Dudley, Ray Dudley, and Robert Dudley; and niece, Lois Frame. George is survived by his sidekick that always took care of him, Tony Frame; and nephews, David Dudley, Tommy Dudley, and James Cavett. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. Garner Cemetery with Jordan Parks, Hunter Frame, Dustin Parker, Daniel Wiggs, Avery Wiggs, and Tanner Morris serving as pallbearers.
