George Noel Gilbert III, 78 of Athens, Alabama, died Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his residence.
There will be a 2PM Graveside Service Thursday at Poplar Creek Cemetery, visitation is Thursday 12noon until 130PM at Spry Funeral Home in Athens.
Mr. Gilbert was born August 5, 1946 in Winston Salem, NC, he was a member of the New Beginning Church in Elgin, AL and he was a US Navy Veteran.
Survivors: Wife: Kay Gilbert of Athens; Daughters: Anita McDonald of Tennessee, Tammy Thompson of Elkmont and Madison Gilbert of Athens; Sister: Betty Jo Edmondson of GA; Seven Grandchildren; Six Great Grandchildren.
