George McCandless, age 64, resident of Primm Springs, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Tri Star Horizon in Dickson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home with J.J. King officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday, October 22nd from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
George was born June 23, 1957 in Williamson County and was the son of the late Hardy Eugene McCandless and the late Mary Frances Beard McCandless. He worked for the City of Franklin for 35 years. George enjoyed raising roosters, coon hunting, and fishing. He was a very outgoing man that loved going out to eat with anyone.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne McCandless of Primm Springs; sons: Anthony (Erica) Davenport of Lewisburg and Thomas (Ashley) Davenport of Primm Springs; brother, W.C (Bonnie) McCandless of Santa Fe; sister, Charlie Lois (Wallace) Potts of Primm Springs; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded by his brothers, Arthur Thomas and Tommy McCandless; and sisters, Marie Scott and Gertie Anglin.
