Albertville Funeral Home Downtown announces the death of George Marvin Young, 89, of Albertville, AL, who passed away Tuesday June 11, 2019 at Marshall Medical Center North. A Graveside Service will be Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Marshall Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Chris Reaves will officiate. Pallbearers will be Danny Young, Dave Young, Tommy Smith, Darren Young, Randy Young, Ashley Harrell. The family will visit with friends Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. Preceded in death by his mother, Hixie Jane Reynolds Young, father, Clarence L Young, granddaughter, Kristin Young Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Harrell Young, daughter, Donna Barnes (Roland), sons, Rickey Young (Beverly), Greg Young (Mona), sister, Mary Smith, grandchildren, Rachel Smedley, Gretchen Hill, Tyler Young, April Calloway, Bruce Barnes, and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity. Albertville Funeral Home Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.
