Obituary of George Louis Filip
George Louis Filip, age 91 of Madison, Alabama passed away on September 29, 2018 at Floyd Tutt Fann State Veteran Home. He retired after a long career with NASA, and later with U.S.B.I (United Space Boosters, Inc.).
Mr. Filip was preceded in death by his daughter, Lillian Hunter; son-in-law, William Benton. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Irma Gresham Filip; daughter, Carol Benton; son, Alan Filip (Susan); son-in-law, Richard Hunter; as well as seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation with family will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 2:00 – 3:00 at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 3:00 pm in Valhalla’s Chapel. Interment to follow at Faith Memorial Park in Madison, Alabama.
