FLORENCE – The George Lindsey UNA film festival has selected finalists and winners in the 2019 festival screenplay competition.
The winner of the Feature Screenplay category is, “The Red Panther,” by Bryant Hasheider.
The finalists in the Feature Screenplay category are:
“Coverless Caroline Buxton’s Lipstick Posse,” by Kelly Jean Karam
“30 Day Notice,” by Austin Parsons and Bri Palmer

The winner of the Short Screenplay category is, “Dogs of War,” by Dan Goforth.
The finalists in the Short Screenplay category are:

“South Tower,” by Landon Lovette
Awards for the winners will be presented at the 22nd annual George Lindsey UNA Film Festival Awards Show, Saturday, March 2.

George Lindsey UNA Film Festival
The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival is one of the few film festivals hosted by a university. The event was founded in 1998 in part by UNA alumnus and celebrated actor and entertainer George Lindsey. Lindsey’s own film career included several important roles, including the character Goober Pyle on “The Andy Griffith Show.”
