Born January 24, 1960, in Suffern, New York, Mr. George was the son of the late David M. and Margaret Ambrose Pflomm. He received his education from William Patterson High School and was enlisted March 3, 1987, in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for thirteen years. He was honored to serve and believed firmly in the quote, “The point of serving your country is not to do your own thing or to go rogue, but to work as part of the process.”

A Christan and member of Faith Fellowship Church, Mr. George’s favorite pastimes included watching sports and football, listening to classic rock and roll, cooking different foods, studying military history, and playing games, as he was very competitive, always trying to beat his sister in scrabble. He was kindhearted and love his family most. He strived to be the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and neighbor he could possibly be. No stone was left unturned in how Mr. George lived life, loved his family and friends, and served his community and country. He certainly represented his country well and his life is an inspiration to all those he leaves behind.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Pauline Martell Phlomm, one daughter, Tara Phlomm Garcia (Nate), two sisters, Merry Wood (Michael Williams), and Betsy Miller, one brother-in-law, Ray Tomasini, one granddaughter, Dani Garcia, the mother of his daughter, Christina Pflomm, his wonderful neighbors, the Whitehead family, and dear family and friends.

He is also preceded in death by one sister, Judy Tomasini, and one brother, David Ambrose Pflomm.
