George Kenneth Underwood, 63, passed away peacefully on November the 16th, 2024 in Huntsville, surrounded by loving family and friends. His visitation will be on Saturday, November 23 from 11:00 to 12:00 at Hazel Green Funeral Home in Hazel Green Alabama, 13921 Highway 231-431. Following visitation, a family graveside gathering will be held at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Meridianville.

George was born on June 10, 1961 in Florence Alabama to James and Ella Underwood. He graduated in 1979 from JO Johnson High School in Huntsville. After graduation, he went on to have a long and successful career in the restaurant and home finance businesses. Throughout his career, he formed many close relationships and left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, and uncle to all his nephews and nieces. His generosity knew no bounds. Known for his vibrant spirit, he had a passion for traveling, photography, and making 3D art.

George was preceded in death by his mother Ella Underwood, his brother John, and his niece Ashley.

He is survived by his father Jim Underwood, brothers Steve (Kris), Andy (Darian), Joe (Angela), his sister Sandra, his nephews and nieces whom he held dear: Sam (Kayla), Kaylin, Brielle, Ethan, Colby, Renee (Bradly) Hereth, Lauren, Jared (Ashlyn), Abby, Jeorge, and Jakob.

George’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his memory will forever live on in the stories shared and the love he cultivated with those around him.
