He has a long history of military service, he is veteran of the Vietnam War and was a Chief Petty officer in the United States Navy. He served a tour on board the US Intrepid. George was proud to be a Blue Angel and of his military service in the United States Air Force, where he was an aeronautics instructor. When he returned to Winchester from duty, he attended MTSU and earned a B.S. degree in electronics and mathematics. He had a longtime career with the Department of Defense as a quality engineer that took him all over the country and a military career that took him all over the world, but always called Winchester his home. Where he enjoyed drinking coffee, reading Time Magazine and sitting on his porch visiting with family. His wish was to age in a place, and he was able to do that. He is at peace.
