George Dewey “G.D.” Coulter, JR. 85, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away Saturday, June 1,2024, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. Born August 7, 1938, Mr. Coulter lived in Ardmore All of his life. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired Madison County employee and an auctioneer. He was also a business partner in Collins Sales. G.D. enjoyed auctions, yard sales and playing dominoes with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Dewey Coulter and Sarah Ghidotti Coulter; four brothers, Leo, Leroy, Mike and Frank; three sisters, Virginia Butler, Imojean Delfunt and Kathy Coulter: and a grandson, Stephen Price.
He is survived by two sons, Bradford (Patricia) Coulter and Tracy (Teresa) Coulter; two daughters, Cyndi Rolin and Renee (Chris) Kimbrough; special friend, LaGay Collins; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren: two sisters, Dora Dean Watson and Ann Mitchell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held Thursday, June 6,2024, 11:00 AM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Shannon officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery. Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
