  George D. KillianGeorge D. Killian, 88, of Fort Payne, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024. He was born October 8, 1935 to the late Jack Killian and Annie Carr Killian. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS Hank 702. He was a retired cross country truck driver and car hauler for a local dealership and a former boxing coach. Mr. Killian attended Fort Payne Family Worship Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Gravel Hill Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years JoyAnn Killian; sons Van Killian (Brenda) and Lane Killian (JoAnna); brother Jackie Killian (Pat); grandchildren Derek Killian (Savannah), Kyanna K. Howard (Tory), Seth Killian, John Killian (Kayla), and Toby Keef (Brooke); and great-grandchildren Ellisyn, Lila, Kayden, Brock, and Brenley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Sam Killian.

Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
