Geneva Smith Palmer, 87, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Elders, Marty Evans and Joe Bogle will be officiating. Geneva was a member of East Colbert Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She was a Godly woman who loved everyone.
Preceded in death by husband, Mahlon Harvey Palmer, Jr.; parents, Emmitt and Polly Smith; sisters, Grace Martin, Alta Osborn, Irene Hendrix, Pauline Mabry, Christeen Spears, Jeanette Kilburn; brothers, Alvin Smith and Wilbur Smith.
Survivors are children, Roger Palmer (Sue), Janice Parker (Reggie), and Harvey Palmer (Linda); grandchildren, Dale Palmer, Wayne Parker, Laura King, and Haley and Lindsey Palmer; great grandchildren, Brandon and Hannah Palmer, Noah, Blake and Evelyn King, Spencer, Connor, Gavin, and Piper Ruth Parker; sister, Betty Tripp; brother, Tommy Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brent Wear, Rickey Lyell, Jim Underwood, Roy Peden, Jerry McCafferty, and Andy Nichols.
