Geneva Putt, 85 of Corinth, Ms, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at StoneRidge of Farmington. A Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home-South Chapel. Interment will be in Magnolia Gardens. Bro. Jeff Haney and Rev. Josh Hodum will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 4:00 P M to 6:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home-South Chapel. Mrs. Putt was born April 29, 1935 in Counce, TN to Edgar Shipman and Cleo Phillips Shipman. She was of the Christian faith and was a retired retail business owner. Geneva loved her family and friends and enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, fishing, traveling and laughing. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Geneva is survived by her son, Ben Putt and wife Christy of Corinth, MS; her daughters, Becky Townsend and husband Joe of Corinth, MS; Brenda Hopper of Ripley and Beverly Thrasher and husband Larry of Corinth, MS; seven grandchildren, Chris Melvin and wife Laura, Jonathan Hopper and wife Marisa, Monica Hopper, Sally Earl and husband Jonathan, Benjamin Putt, Jeremy Thrasher and wife Haley and Jesse Thrasher and wife Ashley; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Leevirl Shipman of Corinth, MS; sister-in-law, Edna Shipman of Corinth, MS; her extended family at StoneRidge of Farmington; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John H. Putt; her son-in-law, Rickey Hopper; her parents, Edgar and Cleo Phillips Shipman; her brother, Charles Shipman and her sister, Virginia Briggs. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Geneva Putt.
