Geneva Isabell Sanders, age 92, passed away on August 31, 2024, at her residence. She was a native of Franklin County. She was born on April 1, 1932, to the late Finus and Etta (Payne) Floyd. Before her retirement she was employed at the hat factory, and she was a school bus driver for twenty-five years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Sanders; siblings, Wesley Floyd, L.B Floyd, Clayton Floyd, and Virginia Mae Cantrell. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Wayne Sanders (Becky); grandchildren, Steve (Lori), J.J (Cortney), Angela (Shawn) Daniel Meaker (Angie), and Chris Meaker (Amy); great grandchildren, Chase, Peyton, Morgan, Rebecca (Alex) Modesty, Elizabeth (Glen), Cyrus, Kyler, Austin, Micah, and Grace; Several nieces, nephews; and extended family. Visitation with the family will be held at Watson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 3:00PM. Funeral service will follow in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home at 3:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. Garner Cemetery.
