Geneva Hackworth Daniels, 91, passed away peacefully at home in Harvest on Thursday, September 30, 2021. She was born in Ironton, Ohio on August 31, 1930. Geneva said she’d had three careers: an Army wife, 20 years with civil service and a Red Cross volunteer for 22 years at Huntsville Hospital. After the death of her husband Charles J. Daniels of 27 years, Geneva earned an Associate Degree in Science. Other interests led her to participate with the Alabama Audubon, Sierra Club, and a wildflower group.
Survivors include eight children: Jeffrey W. Daniels, Jonathon L. Daniels, Patricia K. (Daniels) Calhoun, Mark A. Daniels, Suzanne (Daniels) Cronn, Jeanette Daniels, William K. Daniels and Steven Daniels; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three nrothers, four sisters, father and mother Jesse and Margaret Hackworth of Ironton, Ohio.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with service to follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens on Hwy 72.
