Gene L. Johnson, 72, of Florence, died Friday April 18, 2014, at Glenwood Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be 6pm until 8pm Monday at Greenview Funeral Home. The graveside service will be 1pm Tuesday at Greenview Memorial Park with Sonny Owens officiating.
Mr. Johnson was born in Wayne Co., TN to the late Paul L. and Thelma Petty Johnson. He was retired from Sara Lee.
Survivors are his wife, Janice Beavers Johnson; his daughter and son-in-law, Amy Johnson Young and Brent Young; mother-in-law, Alease Beavers and numerous other family members; three grand-dogs, Jax, Ace, and Mason.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Young, Roger Beavers, Kenny Beavers, Jackie Beavers, Michael Skaggs and Trent Harris.
