Gena Mae Miles, 91, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Courtyards Community Living Center in Fulton. She was born January 9, 1924, to Monroe S. and Melverta Williams. She was a member of the Plainview Church of Christ in Fulton. She was a housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family and was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Mr. Tom House and Mr. Lyndell Fikes officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one son, Gerald W. Miles of Gallatin, TN; one daughter, Gwen (Milton) Barlow of Fulton; one brother, Lawrence (Opal) Williams of Fulton; four grandchildren, Glen W. (Carolyn) Miles of Gallatin, TN, Grant W. (Christie) Miles of Murfreesboro, TN, and Ryan (Christy) Barlow and Rolan A. Barlow, both of Fulton; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Mae Barlow, Dominic Lane Barlow, and Ayla Rose Miles.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Grady W. Miles; her parents; three sisters; one brother; and a great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Barlow, Rolan Barlow, Glen Miles, Joe Minor, Terry McCarthy, and Bobby Pierce.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the funeral home.
