Brother Geary Franklin Duboise, age 79 of Double Springs, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. He was born November 19, 1945 to Orbie Franklin and Bernice Johanna Duboise. Bro. Geary proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He was a hard-working family man who was devoted to his wife Arlene and his family. Bro. Geary was a man of prayer who faithfully served The Lord. He answered the call to preach over 50 years ago and served many churches as their pastor. Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2025 from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother Chris Comeens and Brother Rickey Robins will officiate. Bro. Geary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Arlene Martin Duboise; son, Dennis (Wanda) Duboise; daughter, Shelia (Johnny) Gunter; grandchildren, Kristen (Joey) Joyner, Andrew (Stephanie) Duboise, Korey Duboise, Noah Farris, Kayla Duboise, and Hannah Farris; six great grandchildren; sister, Denise (Joey) Berry; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orbie Franklin Duboise and Bernice Johanna Duboise; grandsons, Jonathan Duboise and Jonathan Gunter; great granddaughter, Crystal Yates; and brother, O’Neil Duboise. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 KJV
