Gearldean Webb Carden, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 01, 2023, at Helen Keller Hospital. She was a native of Hackleburg, AL but had lived in Russellville for the last several years.
Gearldean was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church in Russellville. She was a kind, compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family very much. She leaves many wonderful memories.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Michael Carden of McAlpin, FL; grandsons, Webster Wade (Lisa), Kyle Carden (Angela); great-grandchildren, Jonathan Wade (Charity), Jennifer Wade, Lyric Carden, Dax Carden, Story Carden, great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte Wade, Adalyn Wade; several nieces, nephews, and host of friends. Also survived by special niece, Penny Arnold and special neighbor, Reguina George who did so much for her and was like daughters.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Willie Carden; daughter, Diane Carden Wade; son-in-law, Captain Edward Wade; daughter-in-law, Kathy Carden; grandson, Nicholas Carden; parents, Hughey “H.G.” and Lela (Childers) Webb; brothers, Grady Webb, John Flavis Webb, Huey C. Webb; and sister, Pearline Tarnacke.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 07, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Roger Akers officiating the service. The burial will be at Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg.
