Funeral service for Gaylon W. Barnes, age 64, of Trinity, will be Monday, February 23, 2015, 2 p.m. at Oak Grove First Congregational Church with Rev. David Phillips and Rev. Greg Standridge officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Barnes, who died Friday, February 20, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born September 28, 1950, in Lawrence County to Talmadge Barnes and Annie Marie Stewart Barnes.
He is survived by his wife, Jeritta Barnes; son, Anthony Abney, of Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Kristan Bryant (Spencer), of Millbrook, Al; grandson, Sawyer Bryant; and one brother, Talmadge Ricky Barnes.
Pallbearers will be Duck Lott, Carl Lovett, Joe Pirtle, Cleve Smith, William Harbin and Larry Mendoza.
Honorary pallbearers will be Spencer Bryant and William Ballentine.
