McMinnville resident and Warren County native, Gary Wayne Panter died February 02, 2024 at River Park Hospital of a 2-month illness. Born on December 29, 1945, he was a member of the Church of Christ and a Mason. He worked many years at Century Electric and worked as a nurseryman and owner of Spring Creek Nursery. He was preceded in death by his wife Christine Rubley Panter on April 12, 2021; they married on February 12, 1966. He was the son of the late Lorn and Alma Bouldin Panter. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brother Bobby Panter and sister Joyce Panter Hillis.
He is survived by one son Todd Panter of McMinnville, three brothers-in-law Ernest (Dean) Rubley, James Rubley, and John Hillis all of McMinnville. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends of the Hills Creek Community.
Graveside service and interment is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 06, 2024 at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek. Ronnie Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:15: P.M. before leaving for the cemetery.
