Mr. Gary Wayne Larkin, age 73, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville AL. Mr. Larkin was born March 1, 1950 in Marshall County, Alabama to John Emmons Larkin and Margaret Thompson Larkin. He was a resident of the Huntsville community. Mr. Larkin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Gary cherished his family and he had a wide variety of interest. He was an avid golfer. He loved shooting pool with friends and family. He also enjoyed playing card games.
Cherishing memories of Gary include his immediate family: daughter, Katherine “Nicole” Anderson; son, Brian Larkin; brother Johnny Larkin (Lynn); Nancy Larkin Shumate (Jimmy); Grandchildren, Savannah Anderson (Stephen Ellis), Kyle Anderson, Ryan Anderson (Katie), Courtney Larkin, and Ashley Larkin; Great-grandchildren, McKenna Sloane Ellis and Arvaya Johnson.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Larkin; brother, Nicky Larkin and sister, Annette Larkin.
A visitation for Mr. Larkin will be held at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. with pastor Nicky James, officiating. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at the Brookwood Cemetery Mausoleum.
Escorting Mr. Larkin to his final resting are John Larkin III, Ed Larkin, Kyle Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Josh Shumate and Stephen Ellis.
