Gary enjoyed writing poetry and short stories about his life. Anyone ever receiving a personal poem from Gary was always brought to tears by his expression of love for you. His hobbies included fishing, playing Rook, and especially being in his woodworking shop making various styles of birdhouses. He was always excited to have the opportunity to walk in freshly plowed fields around Madison County searching for his priceless arrowheads. This meant a lot to Gary because of his Indian heritage. He touched people from every walk of life and his love and legacy are far reaching. Gary never met a stranger, he always had a smile on his face, and was known to all as a generous, loving, gentle, simple, and kind-hearted man. He was always willing to share anything he had with anyone. He loved sharing stories about his daughters and grandchildren.

Morson III, Kayla Troxell, Alan Troxell (Mary Catherine) and Austin Troxell (Sydney); one sister, Alice Faye Jones, one brother, Boyd Wayne Floyd (Mary); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
