Gary Wayne Callahan Jr, 58, of Pell City, passed away peacefully October 29, 2024, surrounded by his children, family and friends.
He was survived by his mother Linda Lou Naylor, of Oxford. His children Ashley (Hank) Allen of Eastaboga, Justin (Jessica) Kopp of Japan, Teresa Henderson of Lincoln, Bradley (Shelbie) Hendrix of Lincoln, Leah (Kyle) Hummer of Talladega, and Azalyn Callahan of Lincoln. His grandchildren Brodey, Jase, Branson, Stiles, and Isabella. Two sisters Traci McFall of Oxford, and LaDonna (John) Fugatt of Eastaboga. A niece and several nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his granddaughter (Brooklynn), his father and grandparents.
Gary enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, canning, gardening, slot car racing and making friends at Killin’ Time. He was very outgoing, loved meeting new people and celebrating life with friends. He was known in his community for coaching and mentoring youth in football. He will be remembered for his lovable personality and sarcasm, even though his heart and his mouth never got in sync, you knew he loved you.
