Gary Phillip Horton, 71, died Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born in Red Bay, AL to James Ross and Louise Martin Horton. He was retired from NTN Bower, Hamilton, AL and served in the National Guard.
Services will be Tuesday, October 31, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. David Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by two daughters – Ramonda Horton and Tiwana O’Rear (Kevin); special friend – Pat Robbins; grandchildren – Drew Mann, Lexy Russell (Tanner), Alex Mann (Victoria), Ben Holcomb, Aedan O’Rear and Trishanna Lindsey and great-grandchildren- Easton Mann, Presley Russell and Ellie Hudson Mann.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Drew Mann, Alex Mann, Ben Holcomb, Aedan O’Rear, Tanner Russell and Jimmy Harnage.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 W. Main St., Tupelo, MS 38803.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 31, 11-1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
