Gary Michael Locklear was born on November 26, 1964 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of Vellie Mae Roberts Benson.
On February 14, 2004, he was united in marriage to Debi Clark Locklear, who preceded her husband in death on May 9, 2014.
For the past 17 years, Gary worked for Clayton Homes in Savannah, Tennessee as a lead man and supervisor. He previously worked for Frith Construction in Martinsville, Virginia for over 20 years. Gary enjoyed drawing, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and building model cars.
Gary Michael Locklear departed this life on July 29, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 56 years, 8 months, and 3 days.
He is survived by his daughter, Carla Shearon of Biloxi, Mississippi; mother, Vellie Mae Benson of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Bobby Locklear of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, James Griffith, Zachary White, Carl Liston, and Dalton Shearon; great grandchildren, Kayden Liston and Brooklyn Griffith; niece, Kira Nicole Locklear; and nephews, Shawn Locklear and Matthew Locklear.
Following the Memorial Service, a Memorial Ride will be leaving the funeral home and ending at Gary’s home.
