Gary Loyd Sanderson, age 67, of Muscle Shoals died Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
Visitation will be Saturday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mitchell Hallmark officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery Sheffield.
Gary was a native of Colbert County. He was a hard worker who was devoted to his wife, children, and granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife; Joan Sanderson; parents O.C. and Dorothy Sanderson; and brothers, Roger, Terry, Gregory and Bruce Sanderson.
He is survived by his daughters; Allison Cooper and husband, Cysko and Amy Reeves and husband, Bubba; brother, Donald Wayne Sanderson; sisters, Charlotte Brown and husband, Harold and Beverly Mitchell and husband, Jerry; one granddaughter, Emilee Reeves; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers are Justin Brown, Jerry Allen, Brad Osborn, Larry Jarnigan, Sherman Hendrix, Thomas Osborn and Buzz Sanderson.
The family expresses special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially, nurse Abby.
