Gary Gene Pack 57, of Hartselle went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2017 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born March 18, 1960 in San Pablo, CA and was raised in Texas. Then became a lifelong resident of Alabama where he loved fishing and spending time with his family. Gary was a true believer in God. He previously was employed by Specialty Machine in Decatur until 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Margie Pack, 2 brothers James and Jessie Pack, one sister Peggy Ward, nephews Anthony Mandoza, Jessie and James (Daniel) Pack Jr. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Pack, two daughters Teresa King (Randall), Karen Griffith (Roy), one son Lee Simmons and his special daughter in law, Antheia Simmons., 10 Grandchildren and six great grandchildren, three sisters Marquita Morris, Judy Mendoza, Laveeta Maas and one brother Joe Pack. Special thanks to all of his home caregivers and all the Alacare nurses. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday June 24 at 2:00pm at Patillo Street Church of God in Hartselle, with Pastor Ed King and Pastor Jon McPeek officiating.
