Gary Edwin Hardison, age 75, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at NHC Oakwood.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Milton Elvin and Edna Andrews Hardison. He was a Machinist at ICP in Lewisburg for 28 years before retirement. He was a member of Westvue Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nancy (David) McCullough and Ann (Doug) Cochran; two brothers Jimmy (Judy) Hardison and Ray Hardison; stepbrother, Steve Reavis.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marlene Hooks Hardison; stepdaughter, Stephanie (David) Tankersley Reed; stepson, Vance (Melissa) Tankersley all of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Spence Tankersley and Hunter Reed; two sisters, Wilma (Bobby McNutt and Bill Atnip deceased) Atnip of Brentwood and Carolyn (Billy deceased) Jones of Shelbyville; stepbrother, Grady Marshall of Petersburg; stepsister, Juanita Bills of Murfreesboro; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at NHC Oakwood for the excellent care they provided for their loved one.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091, with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
