Graveside service for Gary Clarence Bowling, age 59, of Decatur, will be Monday, April 14, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove First CMC Cemetery with Rev. Martha Hardin and Rev. Tim Hardin officiating, and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home prior to the graveside services.
Mr. Bowling, who died Friday, April 11, 2014, at his residence, was born March 24, 1955, in Decatur to Oliver Clarence Bowling and Retha Hardin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Bowling was retired from Decatur Utilities.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Jones Bowling of Decatur; one son, Jaron Bowling of Hartselle; one daughter, Shala Wagh (Ajay) of Memphis, TN; one sister, Tammy Smith of Hartselle; and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Brent Steele, Brad Steele, Keith Shelton, Ajay Wagh, Ken Lindsey, and Tracy Boteler.
