Gary Bernard Schmitz, age 81 of Goodspring, passed away Friday April 12, 2024 at his home.Gary was born October 3, 1942 in Adrian, Michigan to Bernard E. and Dorothy M. Schmitz. He was a United Air Force Veteran, graduated from Tecumseh High School and later received his Bachelor of Art Degree from Florida State University, was a former Human Resource Director at Ford Motor Company and was preceded in death by his parents. Gary’s request was instead of sending flowers he would like everyone to plant a tree in his memory or make a memorial contribution to your favorite charity.

Survivors include his sisters Patricia Schmitz Konczal, Kristina Schmitz Hasenkamp, nieces Tonya Miller Hire and Husband Dale, Lynn Nutting and husband Jeff, nephews Scott Schwede and wife Nikki, Carl Schewede and wife Danae, Derick Mann and wife Jennifer, Bryan Mann and wife Dawn.
