Garland Bonner Profile PhotoGarland Anthony Bonner, also known as “Red” was born on January 5, 1960. He resided in Quiton, Alabama but was formerly of Berry, Alabama. Mr. Bonner, age 63, passed away in Walker County on July 11, 2023. Services for Mr. Bonner will be Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Norwood Wyatt Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Pernecia Belvia Lee Bonner, and brothers, Gary and Grady Bonner.

He is survived by his daughters, Chevell Dozier (Riley) and Beverly Nicewonger; brother, Bobby Bonner (Carol), sister, Loretta Bozeman (Dale); grandchildren, Blaine and Dallas Dozier, Dayson Nicewonger, Leslie Gilliland, Madelyn Drouin, and Kaylor Jackson.

He loved his catfishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a hard worker and got up almost every day at 4:00 a.m. and was in bed by 7:30 p.m. He loved his old cars and trucks. He had really close friends at the river in Quiton that he would call family. He loved his grandchildren and always loved on them and gave them tons of candy. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him.
