Gailene Ogle Bell, 80, of Boaz, passed away at Marshall Medical South Thursday, June 24th, 2021. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The service will be Saturday June 26th at 2:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home with Don Bradford officiating. Burial will follow afterwards in Marshall Memorial Gardens.
Gailene was preceded in death by her loving husband Billy Bell; her daughter Billie Jean Bell; her parents Harrison and Cloey Ogle; her siblings Alvin Ogle; Betty Hill; Clyde Ogle and Sally Bryant and her beloved fur baby Taco.
Gailene was born to Harrison and Cloey in Pleasant Grove in the Sims Community. She had 6 brothers and sisters who she enjoyed spending time with. She graduated from Guntersville High School in 1958 and she met the love of her life Billy after his return from serving our country.
Mrs. Bell loved clowns and she was an avid collector. She enjoyed decorating her house with clowns and they could be found all over her house.
She loved spending time with her beloved fur babies, who kept her company after the loss of Billy in 2005.
She worked as a security guard at Zion Nuclear plant, where she was a familiar fixture carrying a gun on her hip daily.
Gailene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Gailene is survived by her daughters: Charlotte Bell; Melody Bell Akins; and Charlene Bell; her grandchildren: Nathan Akins; Ashley Akins; Christina Akins; Cory Akins; Johnathan Higginbotham; Amanda Bjork; Steven Bjork; Anthony Bjork; Jennifer Bjork; Tiffany Bjork; numerous great grandchildren; her sister Dorothy Buckelew and her brother Bobby Ogle.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the start of the service on Saturday.
