Gail Patterson Ray, 77, of Rogersville passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital.
Gail was a beloved sister, friend and best known as “Aunt Gail” to those she treasured most. Gail was a believer and member of First Baptist Church Rogersville. She truly had a servant’s heart often volunteering to help others in need. She was a gifted painter bringing any scene to life and truly a rare talent. Gail was a long time resident of Lauderdale County and graduated in 1964 from Lauderdale County High School.
Visitation for Gail will be Thursday, March 21 from 12 – 1p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 in Harvey Cemetery. Heath Harrelson will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Brad Tipper, Jann Patterson, Brian Tipper, Kenny Winter, Robb Patterson, Caleb Butler, Carson Winter and Cohen Winter.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, R.A. and Nadine Patterson; husband, Marty Ray; brother, Gary “Burr” Patterson; grandparents, Otis and Minnie Ridgeway, Milton and Viola Patterson. She is survived by her sister, Cherie Helton; nephews, Brad (Tara) Tipper, Jann (Denise) Patterson, Brian (Krystal) Tipper; niece, Shana (Kenny) Winter; great nieces and nephews, Savannah (Caleb) Butler, Robb (Georgia) Patterson, Hallie Gail Tipper, Baylee Tipper, Carson and Cohen Winter, Barrett Butler and Reid Patterson.
