We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Gail Noble Keener, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who left us on September 17, 2024. Gail was born in Colbert County on February 25, 1947 to Reu and Katherine Willard. After retiring from Reynolds Metals, Gail found her true passion in taking care of those in need. Known for her boundless love and selflessness, she was caregiver to many individuals for over 20 years and treated each of them with the utmost love and kindness.

No matter who it was, she was always the first to lend a helping hand, offering not just her support but her heart and soul. Her compassion knew no limits; she would give her last dollar, and if she didn’t have it, she would borrow it without a second thought, knowing she would never see it again. Her generosity was matched only by the size of her heart, which touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Gail will be remembered for her gentle spirit and her incredible ability to make everyone feel loved and cared for. She is survived by daughter Teresa (Russ), son Billy (Danielle), son Ron (Jeannie), grandchildren Jessie, Bailey, Raiana, Taylor, RJ (Hootie), Donovan (Bella), Stella, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, sisters Juanita Butler, Rosie Smith, Wanda Willard, Sheila Letson, brothers Pinkie Willard, Vernon Willard, James Earl Willard, ex-husband RE Keener, who remained a great friend, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Martha Jane, and great grandson Nikeli.

Services will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Florence AL on Saturday, September 21. Visitation will begin at 11am and the memorial service will begin at 1:00pm with burial in Shaw Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
