Gabriel “Gabe” Simon Arnett, age 44, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Gabe was born May 4, 1977.
Son, brother, dedicated uncle, faithful friend, and Scottish Laird are some of the best ways to describe Gabe. He was a man of varied interests and had many fond relationships that spanned the world. Gabe’s first priority was those close to him, whether that was his family, especially his niece and nephews, or a friend, work colleague, or customer, he made them his priority. Gabe was selfless in nature. He loved to give gifts and loved to share experiences with those important to him including travels, his deep appreciation for “good food”, and his refined palate for his coffee selection. He worked hard to develop his culinary skills and was particular about his cutlery and culinary utensils. Gabe dedicated himself to excellence in pursuing a skill or any endeavor. This was especially true for shooting; Gabe was an avid gun collector, marksman, and reloader. Gabe was a rare and true friend. If you were his friend, he would do anything for you. He leaves behind a host of family and friends. Gabe is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Gabe is survived by his mother: Deb Somers of Columbia, TN; father: Rick (Cindy) Arnett of Culleoka, TN; siblings: Kasey Jones of Alexandria, KY, Carly (Jeremy) Britt of Columbia, TN; and Andy (Brandi) Arnett of Perry, GA. Niece and nephews: Riley (Cassidy) Jones and Camden Jones, Conner Arnett, Lex, Abigail and Benjamin Britt, Caleb and Jonathan Arnett, and Gavin and Carter Johnson. Gabe is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
