Immogene graduated from Carson Newman University. She was an encourager, always with a good word for others. Both an accomplished pianist and an inspirational singer, she taught public school music in East Tennessee, primarily Knox County for 30 years. Immogene was beloved by her students and fellow teachers with whom she maintained many lifelong friendships. She also used her faith and musical talents in many capacities serving as music director, pianist, organist, and Sunday school teacher at every church she served with her husband.
While Immogene was an outstanding musician perhaps her greatest gift was the love she had for all people. She shared this immense love openly and generously with all those who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
