FLORENCE-Friends of Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter came together on Saturday, September 24 to take the actions necessary to help Fix Up the Shelter until the long-awaited, past overdue process of the new animal shelter begins.
All the fun took place in the parking lot of Pet Depot in Florence. Some special guests were Steve Holt, Wilson Mitchell, along with others in our community who believe that change is going to have to start with the public.
It was an adoption event, a fund-raiser and a way to raise awareness about how important pets are to the well-being of a town or community. There was fun had by all…free hot dogs and refreshments with a very special bake sale ….goodies for your pet.
