Freida Frances Roe passed away Monday, October 16, 2023.Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Les Anderson and Rev. Mark Gidley officiating. She will be laid to rest at Lebanon Cemetery, Coats Bend Community . The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 10 am until the hour of service.
Freida was born May 19, 1964 to James B. and Edith Barber Roe, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ann R. Hanson and brother, Phillip C. Roe.
She was a 1982 graduate of Gaston High School and earned her cosmetology degree from Alabama School of Trades. She was a licensed cosmetologist for 35 years. Freida was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her son, Curt Kirkland, Fairbanks, AK and brothers, Curtis (Susan) Roe, Gadsden, AL and Corbitt (Rose Mary) Roe, Mobile, AL, as well as, a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Alton Roe, Shane Faulkner, Tim Roe, James Roe, Paul Allen, Billy Bishop and Robert Wisneski.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Roe, Renick Adams and Loyd Fleming
