Freida Faye Burgett, 71, passed away Sunday November 1st, 2020 with her loving family by her side.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday November 5th, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Kenneth Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow afterwards in Marshall Memory Gardens.

Freida was preceded in death by her mother Pearl Collins Pope; and several of her brothers and sisters.

Freida was born in Harland, Kentucky, the oldest of 10 children born to Pearl Pope.  The family moved to Horton in the 1960s and it was there Freida met and married the love of her life Randy Burgett.

Randy and Freida worked as on the road truckers and they made cross country trips until Freida made the move to driving her own truck.  She was one of the first woman to make a cross country road trip by herself across the US. Freida spent 28 years driving as a cross country trucker.

Freida was dedicated to her family and loved nothing more than spending time with her loved ones.  She loved her kids and grandkids with all her heart.

Freida is survived by her soulmate Randy Burgett; her children: Tony Burgett and his wife Donna; Tonya Eveland and her husband Wallace Maples; and Chris Burgett and his wife Lacey; her grandchildren: Nathan, McKenzie, Luke, Carlee and Ashland; great-grandchildren: Bayley, Liam and Riley; her sisters Maggie, Deb and Connie; and her 8 beloved fur-babies.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 am until the start of the service at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.
