Freeman Rogers Freeman Rogers, 71, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit in Tupelo. He was born August 7, 1952, in Itawamba County to Gordie Marple and Pauline Williams Rogers.  He married his wife, Margaret Jo Waters Rogers, on September 11, 1970, and enjoyed over 41 years of marriage before her death on January 17, 2012.  He was self-employed in the construction industry most all his working life.  In recent years, he moved vehicles for Davis Ford Sales.  Freeman was an avid conversationalist who never met a stranger.

The family will celebrate Freeman’s life on Saturday, June 29, with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton.  Bro. Bobby Jarrell and Bro. Joseph Jones will be speaking.  The family will receive visitors after the service.  Freeman will privately be laid to rest in the Harden’s Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Steven Rogers (Tiffany) of Smithville and Brent Rogers (Jennifer) of Red Bay, Alabama; one daughter, Amy Jo Coats (Bruce) of Belmont; four sisters, Vivian “Vick” Lindley and Lanell Rodgers (Bobby), both of Fulton, Debra Lawson of Florida, and Helen “Susie” Boyd of Georgia; one brother, Eddie Bo Rogers of Florida; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents; he was preceded in death by six brothers, Trice, Troy, Vernon, Leroy, Larry, and Earney Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made through monetary donations or snack items to the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit.
