Freeman Edward (JR) Alley, Jr. Freeman Edward (JR) Alley, Jr. was born in Missouri on October 16, 1952 the son of the late Freeman Edward Alley, Sr. and Lizzie Garrard Alley.

On September 18, 1970 he was united in marriage to Pamela Sherrie Cowart, who survives.

Freeman worked as a mechanic for Penske Trucking in Jackson, Tennessee for 19 years. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars and fishing. Freeman was known as being a jokester. His greatest love was his wife and family.

Freeman departed this life on February 21, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 5 days.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, Pamela of Adamsville, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Charles Alley and Steven Alley, both of Crump, Tennessee, Adam Cowart and Jennifer Alley, both of Adamsville, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Alley of Adamsville, Tennessee, Billy Alley of Somerville, Alabama, and Randall Alley of Adamsville, Tennessee; and sisters, Kathy Branning of Greeneville, Tennessee, Glenda Smith of Enville, Tennessee, and Brenda Maness of Ramer, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, Freeman was preceded in death by one son, Kaston Cowart; brothers, James and Jimmy Alley; and sisters, Patsy Alley Boswell and Tina Faye Alley.
