Fredrick Thomas Tillbrook, 92 of Huntsville, passed away on December 23, 2023.
He is survived by his son, Fredrick Thomas Tillbrook, Jr.; grandson, Taylor N. Tillbrook; granddaughter, Kassie Andrea Tillbrook Phillps ; great grandchildren, Brandon Chase, Piper Annalexa, and Lillian Mae.
Fredrick was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Henry Tillbrook; Lillian Hartlein Tillbrook; and wife, Surly Lillian Folgmann Tillbrook.
Fred was born in Daytona Beach, Florida where he grew up and at some point was racing motorcycles up and down the beach. Fred got his mother’s permission to join the Army where he saw the world. He spent time in Hawaii, South Korea, Vietnam, Germany and several different bases in the US including Fort Jackson, Fort Riley, Fort Bragg. Fred retired from the Army after an amazing thirty (30) year career. Fred finished out a long career serving the US Military at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Nobal Fred also dedicated over 50 years to the Cahaba Shriners. He will be remembered for his legendary stories and his kind generous nature which touched so many people over the years.
Fred will be missed by his friends and family, especially his Applebee’s family.
Receiving of friends will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd, from 4-6pm at Berryhill Funeral Home.
