Fredrick Chester Rutkowski, age 81 of Empire, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Rutkowski was born on February 19, 1942 in Toledo, OH to the late Raymond and Gertrude Rutkowski.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Hicen Suzette “Suzy” Rutkowski; grand daughters, Rachel and Wanda; and his siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rita; two daughters, Wendy Tate and her husband Glenn and Lori Chieffo and her husband Mike; a son Fredrick “Freddy” Rutkowski, Jr. and his wife Kelly; a sister, Kitty Rutkowski; grandchildren, Christian, Courtney, Michael, Nicholas and his wife Andria, Jade, Jasmine, Devan, Dustin, Jordan, Savannah, Charlotte, Connie, Donna, and Mary; a step-daughter, Donna K. Wilson and her husband Keith; step-grandsons, Joe Stasco and his wife Crystal and James Wilson and his wife Haley; as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 26, at 6:00 PM from the chapel of Bell Funeral Home Sumiton. Visitation will be Monday, at the funeral home from 5:00 until service time at 6:00 Bell Funeral Home of Sumiton entrusted with arrangements.
