Freddie King, age 95, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired superintendent from the Lawrenceburg Street Department, and of the Baptist Faith. Mr. King enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mattie Jane Newton King; two sisters, Aubrey Sisson and Racheal McLean; and five brothers, Johnnie King, Condy King, Eddie King, Clarence Lee King, and Villard King.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Peters King of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Patricia King of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, Jeff Allen of Leoma, TN, and Randy Allen of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandchildren, Zach Allen (Hannah) and Ben Allen, both of Lawrenceburg, TN; and one great-grandchild, Wyatt Allen of Lawrenceburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 17, 2024, with Rick Kennedy officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to A Kid’s Place/A Child Advocacy Center, 614 W Point Road, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464.
